Starting a largish painting. This is a detail shot of the main figure. The background will be a major sandstorm. Just letting it rest a bit so I can look at it with greasy eyes. Will start laying down the sky tomorrow most likely. Full painting is 20x24. I’ll post the progress shots here if folks are interested.

I'd love to see this progress. Set is one of my personal lares et penates, and also I find him quite splendidly sexy. It's interesting that you've portrayed him with a beak: I know nobody quite knows what animal he's supposed to be, so it makes perfect sense... I always see him with a slightly more draconic snout. (What a surprise...)
