Inferno is a Guardian of the Sun Emeralds, as is Blaze. His shape is like that because of the Sun Emeralds. He lives in a place called Vulcanix Valley, a place where only guardians of the Sun Emeralds can stay, those who are not Guardians of the Sun Emeralds die of spontaneous combustion. Its design and nickname were based on Fortnite's Skin Inferno.
