My new fursona! Teela Snowskipper (also goes by wampa-bait to her friends) the tauntaun.
Going through my recent surgery, tauntauns are something I held onto that helped me make light of the whole thing, and light of my scar that she shares with me. Very fitting, and I've always loved tauntauns as a bonus!
Recovering in the hospital, I took a small adorable tauntaun figure with me and held onto it every night as I slept. It was something physical I had with me to hold onto when I couldn't have my family physically there with me due to the pandemic, and it gave me a great deal of comfort.
Quillow or Ellrie won't be sharing the scar, only Teela. So she really does mean a lot to me, and it's very exciting for me having a brand new character that represents so much and also isn't tied to anything in my past.
Here's to an amazing fun future as a tauntaun!!

It's funny because i saw the tauntaun art in your header on twitter just now and assumed it was art for a commissioner - Teela - then i was trying to figure out where their art was posted since they mentioned keeping it separate... completely missing that y'all are the same person xD

Thank you so so much!! :) I had a major surgery this year that left me with a belly scar so it's a perfect species for a sona for me! Funny enough though I was making a tauntaun sona before the surgery and before the connection clicked... Was meant to be~
