My good friend 
rygonns100 suggested to me that I create a Yoshi character of my very own, since I previously didn't have one in my crew of characters. To me nowadays, I only like to create a character if I believe they can serve a real purpose in my creative universe, rather than just create one for the fun of it. Well, after some thinking and bouncing some ideas back and forth, while developing another yet unseen character of mine that I originally had planned to show way before this, I came up with this Yoshi character...Rufus D'Angelo. He's more of a side character, rather than a full-fledged member of my crew, but he was definitely a lot of fun to create otherwise.
Some quick facts about Rufus:
• Lives in the city and owns a skate shop called "Ruuftops" (prounounced "Rooftops").
• Enjoys skateboarding.
• Performs in a punk rock band as a drummer called Agility, with hits like "Lizards of the Tropics" and "Dragon Essence".
• Nicknamed "Speed Demon" due to his quick and rapid-fire skills with his drum solos.
• Carries around a special set of drumsticks that were given as a gift and hold special meaning to him...and perhaps a special power all their own. Perhaps they hold the secret to his enviable drumming skills.
• Is a bit narcissistic, thinks highly of himself, and usually acts in his own special interests.
• Usually "in the know" about happenings on the streets near his skate shop, including some criminal activity. Sometimes acts as an informant, if the price is right. Whether Rufus has ever engaged in such activity himself is currently unknown.
• Possesses a small pair of wings on his back; whether he was born with them or not is currently unknown. He's been seen fluttering short distances using them, however, especially during his concert appearances or while performing skateboarding tricks.
