"Having bombed the Villain Academy test, Joel got bored and decided to recruit heroes for "medical exams". However, what begun as a way to tease naive heroes became a quite noble cause, helping people that don't have powers, by getting them away from harm's way, just like he is. Despite not having any powers, Joel makes up for it by his high intelligence, able to invent and modify gadjets and enhancements for the team.
