I had an occasion to actually go somewhere yesterday, and it seems like it's getting similarly green around here too.
And about Norrland, sure, the spring arrives late, but then, there's no night over June and July! It's absolutely crazy if you've never seen anything like that before. I remember my first summer evening there. I was bit tired and just had the TV on and was watching pretty mindlessly (not understanding much Swedish at that time either). And then, I'm looking at the window, and think it must be still early, it's pretty bright, looks like it's 9 o'clock in the evening. After some time I'm looking again, and then later again... It's still 9... wait, what?! Can't be, the film was long and now it's over. I'm looking at the clock and it's 2 already!! O_o

I only wished they'd never started to dig a giant hole to put the train station underground. it costs a mind-numbing heap of money, and the result is already too small to work, and they have almost ten years ahead of them still.
and only that some people who will never have to stand up for this can clap their own shoulders.
ah, anyway. it still is a nice area, with a lot of vicinity and interesting places not far away. :)

right? no idea. tunnels cost extra money, and are extra intensive on maintenance, and rescuers have a real horror vision when something down there happens. those tunnels they are building here are a bit on the tight side because it's cheaper, and all the firefighter forces here say they pray to the powers above that there won't be any accident in the tunnels, because you can't evacuate a train due to the narrow tunnels...
and then there is anhydrite everywhere. one could say it's a natural gypsum stuff, but it quells a lot when it comes to contact with water. we have had lots of "fun" with it in the recent past, be it roads that bulge into eternity, tunnels that are threatened to collapse, or a whole small city being lifted from it until houses that have been there over 300 years are about to dismantle.
but we "need" an underground train station. rrright.

Oh, that lare, stuck in "work in progress" mode screams "Beware of Perfectionist!"
Nothing is done, untill everything to the last detail would be in complete harmony with one's soul. Then, thru some "that'll do"s and "i wish this burned next day!", the harmony is reached. It's a hard path to go, but it's worth living thru.

and sometimes one just goes by instinct... :)
in fact we're just looking for a good place where it loogs good without being in the way of things. the garden is somethign of a narrow strip at an odd angle to the house. no idea what the old ones thought when they established the area way back when... XD
