Return of the Golden Arches (2,700th Submission)
Sequel to my story Goodbye to the Golden Arches. Mayor Tim Jabowitz discusses the possibility of McDonald's making a full comeback in Wildcat City after pointing out that Casino Drunk Man didn't get all the stores closed he thought he did. There's still a few either in shopping malls or sometimes attached to the convenience stores working as gas stations.

Chuong: Thanks to COVID-19, casinos are disappearing fast and are replaced by hotels and hospitals. That means the only three casino cities left on Earth are Monaco, Las Vegas, and Macao. From third to first, Macao is still the top gambling city on Earth despite being part of China.
Juno: Y'all wanted less casinos, now you got your wish. Too bad a virus had to make that happen unfortunately.
Zax: Because some guy in China ate bat soup. But hey at least we don't have to worry about how our country will handle the COVID-19 medical bills since China is paying for this because their government tried to cover it up and failed.

Leo: Don't forget all the tribal casinos we have, but you still made your point. But while I did want less gambling, I now have mixed feelings about that. I don't want those people to lose their jobs.
Super C: I am certain there will be other places to hire them if that day dawns.
Cripto: What about Atlantic City?
Leo: Nope. All those places closed down and transformed into something else.

Chuong: Most occupations in the gambling industry have skills that match with the hospitality industry meaning that there's no job loss, if any. If there was, its very little but they eventually find other work to do. And besides, most casino workers don't get paid well anyways and would rather much be hotel maids and janitors because of tips. As for hospitals, they hire a range of people to run and operate their functions to serve their patients not just nurses and physicians. Midwives are needed too.
Dustin: Yes there are tribal casinos, but the tribes have contingency plans to convert them to healthcare facilities or hotels should they decide that gambling has become more of a cost than a revenue. Worse comes to worst, they convert them to data centers, if necessary.
