Unusual .22 cal bullet 4

Left side view of the old bullet. Its head is rusted over's far as I know amassed with what seems rust from decades in the dirt. Its not magnetic metal's far as I can tell it wont stick to any magnet I hold to-date.
If by now your wondering what manner of camera I use to take such photo's its actually my camcorder since it seems unwilling to do more then fuss over putting video or getting to work with my computer and its movie making softwear.

Well that's a given but the head should'nt be as lumped up and clumpy looking as it is if it wasn't some form of ferrous metal. Even something like Copper may get tarnished but to my knowledge it would never look like what is on the tip of this bullet.

could be made out of lead. dont that oxidize?

i do know its a rimfire. so you could try searching to when those first got made
