he got stuck in fishing nets and drowned, so his body stranded after the fishermen threw him back to the sea. all in all there were 8 dead common dolphins, this is just one of them

Aww, crap... :/

I wonder: Couldn't there be preventive measures when it comes to fishing nets? Like some kind of industry standard to use sonar reflectors being integrated into the nets that might help dolphins recognize the hazard a bit more early?

As someone who did wildlife rehab for many years, I know how this hurts. Keep at it though. There's not nearly enough people like you out there, which makes your work all the more vital.
