This is a old abandoned railroad line that at one time carried pulpwood and other wood products out of Abbeville, Alabama. Railroad lines are torn up all the time. But relaid? Never. This is the home stretch into town and only days before this picture was taken did crews cut away the foliage. Over the next 6 months over 5 miles of track were laid to restore the former Abbeville & Grimes railroad back to it's former glory.
