Kingdom Hearts Union X: Afterstory Chapter 7 pt. 3
All of the Sheep girls were all in each of their beds, fast asleep and tuckered out from all of the fun they had from earlier that day. However, one of the Sheep girls, who was known as Abigail, tossed and turned in her sleep. Abigail was having a dream, one that brought her to an open field that spanned for endless miles. Abigail yelled out in case somebody was around, but she heard no response. As Abigail walked and looked around, she was spooked when she suddenly saw Shred right in front of her. Abigail asked Shred where did he come from, but instead, was only given a question by him.
"What is it you're so afraid of?"
This caught Abigail from out of nowhere, but answered the question nonetheless.
"Living life in the same routine over and over again. With nothing changing."
Shortly after answering Shred's question, he disappeared right in front of Abigail. Abigail reached out her hand to Shred, but it was too late. With nobody else around, Abigail began to wander around aimlessly again, where she then encountered someone she had never seen before. The man had a black coat, earrings, a small beard and a moustache. Abigail asked him who he was, but was only met with a question for a response.
"What is the one thing you care about more than anything else?"
Abigail was trying to figure out what was going on, but she still answered the man's question.
"To live my life to the fullest."
Again, shortly after answering the man's question, he disappeared right in front of Abigail. Abigail didn't know what was going on, nor did she know why her dream was doing this to her. But in the end, she played along with it. Abigail looked at her surroundings again, where she saw a familiar figure off in the distance. The figure had a brown suit, and had a red scarf. Abigail felt relieved to see Rich again. Abigail sprinted towards Rich, stopping a few feet from him. As he slowly turned, Rich smiled at her. Abigail asked him if he knew what was going on. But instead of answering Abigail's question, he responded with a question of his own.
"Abigail. What do you wish for?"
Abigail's smile quickly faded, and turned into a frown, as she was met with yet another question for a response. Abigail took a moment to think, then gave her answer.
"I wish...to go with you. To be by your side wherever you go. No matter what dangers lay ahead."
After Abigail said her wish, Rich glowed brightly, causing Abigail to cover her eyes. When the bright light engulfed her, she suddenly shot up from her bed. Abigail looked around, and saw that she was back in her home, still in bed. She wondered what the dream was about, but decided to not ponder around the question for now, and soon went back to sleep.
Morning came, with the sun shining through the windows of the home of the Sheep girls. All of them woke up from their slumber, each of them getting ready for the day to be out in the field. But when it came to Abigail, she had other plans. She was trying to figure out how to get out of the farm, and finally be free from the home she felt was a cooped up prison. When all of the Sheep girls went outside to have fun, Abigail searched around the field, looking for anything to use to try and escape. Even though she was looking around, she was also trying to prevent any attention to be brought on her by Sam, and acted as if she just wanted to be on her own today. A few hours had passed, as a construction crew arrived in a utility truck, ready to repair the damage done by Sam the other day. With the crew members starting to work on the house for the Sheep girls, Abigail quickly ran to the utility truck, rummaging through their tools to try and find anything that would help her. That was where she spotted what she needed. A shovel. Abigail took the shovel, and quickly got out of the utility truck without being spotted, where she quickly hid the shovel inside of a bush. She then started to look around, but could see nothing but flat grassy field. But when Abigail looked to the back of their home, she spotted an area that would not arouse suspicion. The tool shed. Abigail walked by the bush she hid the shovel in, and quickly grabbed it, doing her best to hide it at her side. When she walked to the back of her home, she quickly ran to the tool shed, opening the doors and closing them behind her. To her favour, the farmer didn't put any flooring for the inside of the shed, which made it a lot easier for Abigail to break the dirt inside the tool shed, using her foot to dig deeper into the Earth, and scoop up more of it. Hours had passed, and Abigail continued to dig. To her luck, Sam was too distracted by the construction workers at the front to realize that one Sheep was missing the entire time. During this time, Abigail had dug 10 feet down, and 20 feet across. Creating a tunnel. The morning was gone and it was now the afternoon, with Abigail showing no signs of slowing down. She was too determined to just give up all of the work she had done up to now. After creating 20 feet of tunnel, Abigail started to dig up, breaking the soil that was above her. After 2 hours of digging up, Abigail felt the shovel shoot up easily, as if it hit nothing. Noticing this, Abigail felt excitement and relief. Abigail dug a little more upwards, and saw the bright light of the sun break into the tunnel. After breaking the remains of the soil that was above her, Abigail got out. When she did, she saw that she was out of the farm and at the other side of the fence. Feeling relieved, Abigail wiped the sweat from her forehead, knowing she had just dug her way to freedom.
"At last. Freedom. Now to try and find Rich. I know he was thrown to the Southeast, so I better start there."
Abigail started to walk along the field, carrying the shovel she used to dig, and hiding behind bushes and trees from the forest to make sure she wasn't seen.
