That would be Guilmon. Tamers is actually the only version of Digimon I've seen.

I'm very glad a friend of mine found some decent English fan-subs for Tamers. I really like the series but the English dub was kinda bad. Not horrid, I've seen MUCH worse.

(Also, English dub fans have no excuse to whore out Renamon. She said it herself that Digimon have no gender in English.)

The line got a bit muddled in translation I think - what she says in the original is that they don't have biology. :)

So adorable, I just love the series too and even though I can't understand a lick of Japanese I'm still working on downloading the raw japanese just to enjoy listening to it and seeing it without any editing.

Wow. That is a lot of added dialog. I don't know why they thought that was necessary. Though, I don't know if I'd say it's the inspiration for Renamon porn. If you want to give fans the benefit of the doubt, maybe they find a strong feminine character attractive, and that's just the twisted way they express the feeling. ... That was waaaaaay too optimistic. Forget I said that.

So, is your plan to balance out the porn by going in the extreme opposite direction? :P

Actually, I'm pretty sure it is. Listen to the dub's purring voice. She's witty, she's sultry sounding... And I can recall at least one 'inuendo' in that scene (something about a cold shower)...

I'm not very familiar with Tamers... but watching the japanese version? I didn't get much impression off of renamon about her personality. She just seemed like she was fighting really hard for her person. Maybe a little proud... but, also, ultimately tired. Like a dog who loves his boy, but his boy ignores him unless he wants the dog to do tricks--fetch, play dead, etc. Someone who sees the dog as a source of entertainment, not a friend.She's determined, and is affected by her person's opinions. her job is to fight. so that is what she'll do.

The dub... the renamon seemed much more coy. she enjoyed fighting, she enjoyed the witty dialog, she enjoyed the mocking phrases and the laughter. she enjoys fighting, and fighting for her person. When Ruka (the girl? I think tha'ts her name) was talking about her not evolving, Renamon didn't seem bothered. Like she'd do what she did, and damn anyone else.She, and Ruka (Ruki?) were the same. perhaps not friends.. but they both enjoyed the battle and the fight to be the best.

And tha'ts true of both versions... but the sub enjoyed the fight for no other reason then she was 'suposed' to.

and yes, it's because she's a strong female character, with a 'pretty voice' and some clever dialog (i'd assume)... as well as being physically appealing. Even if she never said anything, there'd still be pron of her... but the vocals made her attitude more accessible.
