This was taken at a park near Columbia, Alabama. These sorts of areas are a deer haven in the summer. There's plenty of foliage for food and protection and mud for cooling off in. At one point this place was probably beautiful. But unfortunately mankind has moved in. There's a nuclear power plant a few miles away discharging cooling water into the river that feeds this area, visitors to the park have strewn trash about, and a local hunting group has begun to clear away alot of the land and scar it with shoddily built fences and PVC drainage pipes. I believe that we fail to see that there is no more beautiful wild and free frontier for us to discover and assimilate. We have to maintain the beautiful land we inhabit. Or let it all rot away.....
