One of the minor characters of Walt Kelly's Pogo is this bear whose name I can't track down easily. He's not P.T.Bridgeport. Mostly he appeared in Sunday strips as a foil to Albert, someone who could be as big and as intimidating as the alligator. This particular panel's taken from an illustration accompanying a poem. This, I think, is the first character I've drawn who has an actual belly, though good luck making that out.
