Hurke's actually talking to Naola, not the audience. But breaking the 4th wall...that's an idea! Might set up some The Office style interviews later. hah.

Ah...I see what you mean. Yeah, since this comic is heavily inspired by my early days of playing FRPGs i wanted to use some of that language directly. They do speak of levels, and I will use certain other terms that are really coming out of that genre, such as referring to someone as a fighter or using the term "spell components". There is also a music analogy going on. The teams of Adventurers are called Bands, the jobs they do are gigs, if you work alone you're a Solo Artist, etc.

I have a lot of stuff to get into with this comic, which is one of the reasons I shifted the look of it. I can do more work in this style than the old way. I'm sure I won't be able to get it all across but I'll do what I can.

And, naturally, I'm planning an RPG as a compliment to the comic. I have some experience in RPG design and a great love of that craft so I simply MUST do it...
