It was another stress-free day for the blue hedgehog on which he could relax as usual anywhere he desired. Napping in the woods does come with its dangers, however. Sonic's scent was eventually picked up by a wild dog that was running around loose. The wild beast quickly went for the hero's shiny red shoes, attempting to chew on them. "Hey! Hands off, mutt! Bad dog!" Sonic shouted as he awoke from his slumber. There were only two rules when it came to staying on Sonic's good side. Number one, don't touch his shoes, and number two, don't interrupt his sleep if it ain't important. This savage hound just broke both of them. "Oh, you want my feet? Is that it? Alright buddy, lemme help ya out with that." The speedy youngster said in a slightly calmer but still angered tone. He peeled off his left shoe and within a second slammed his bare sole into the mutt's face. The boyish toes fully enveloped the dog's nose, gripping it firmly so it would pick up all that powerful scent from the hedgehog's running adventures. As the dog was completely overwhelmed by that dominant smell, the blue speedster reached out for his chaos emerald. "How's the smell? Bet you never got to whiff up something like that. Don't worry buddy, you will get fully acquainted with it soon. I always wanted to tame a wild animal." Sonic announced eagerly as he used the emerald's power on the confused hound.
