In Lesson Three, there's more boring logistical stuff that never goes in a game, and Mammon is a giant douche canoe. Elle is learning really quickly who she can and can't count on. (More the latter than the former, unfortunately)

They're really not, lol. They get better as the game goes on, but that's one of the things that I've been thinking about in trying to write it as a romance - some of these assholes are going to have to have their rough edges filed down to make this possible at all.
I'm really glad it's entertaining! Let me know if you ever feel like it gets to dialogue-heavy - that's what I've been struggling with since that's a real focus of the game.
And yeah, I'm reminded a lot of Laharl from the first game and Etna from second - too strong for their own good but still looking for approval LOL. Clearly, they need a nosy human to take them down a peg.
