For the fun of it, uploading a traditional piece I did at the end of last year as a gift for a friend. This is a portrait of her gorgeous appaloosa stallion. I'm planning to re-do this as I completely borked the eyeball and I'm a perfectionist, so only the best will do. First time using watercolors in such a way, and I learnt a lot, but hopefully the next time will be better and will be a present when I feel it's fitting for her gorgeous stud.
Left was the original sketch, which I then transferred onto watercolour paper and played around it - so annoyed I didn't keep the original eye shape - gah!
