Character: Tokki the Wanderer
Race: Leporidae
Class: Cleric
Alignment: Good
Information: Leporidae live in large family warrens generally in the regions of Zephrum and near the Rand Forest. They are reserved folk, keeping to themselves, tending to their family run farms. Tokki was the middle child of twelve siblings, and though loved by his mother, father and extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins, always felt somewhat, ignored. Not the baby, nor the honored eldest, he was somewhere in the middle, feeling as if he simply existed. His feelings of being ignored sparked a rebellious spirit in young rabbit once he hit is teens. Dying his fur, getting his ear pierced and running into trouble with the local authorities for petty vandalism still seemed to go unnoticed by his parents, who would only mildly scold him. It was when Tokki brought home his new boyfriend, that his father took notice, because these things were simply not acceptable in Leporidae society and he was quickly shunned from the warren. Banished from his childhood home, Tokki took to the streets. Part of him sad that he was not understood at all by his family and another part relieved that he could finally strike out on his own. Sadly things went from bad to worse for poor Tokki. He found it hard to find work and resorted to petty crime to feed himself. He wasn't very good at it however and ended up on the wrong side of the law on numerous occasions. One night when Tokki was at his lowest he came upon a small shrine, hungry and tired he broke in and began stuffing his face with offerings left to the forest deities. As he was about to leave, he felt an overwhelming fatigue befall him and before he could make it to the door, he fell into a deep sleep. Now whether it be from exhaustion or perhaps some divine intervention, is debatable, but Tokki says it's the latter. When he awoke he was greeted by the smiling venerable white hare. Instead of being angry at Tokki for eating the offerings he offered him more and asked Tokki relay his story. Hours past as Tokki for reasons he still couldn't fathom, relayed to the old hare his whole life story. The old hare made no judgement, offered no advice, simply waited and listened, something Tokki was not accustomed to. Once Tokki was done, the old hare simply gestured to the shrine, offering to let the young rabbit stay if he would help clean the shrine. In exchange he would offer him a roof and food. With no other real prospects Tokki agreed and began living at the shrine. As days and weeks past, the old hare began to slowly impart wisdom on Tokki, teaching him in the ways of clerical pursuits and opening up a whole new path for Tokki. Though still a bit of a wild hare, Tokki now takes his new knowledge with him as he travels the world, seeking out others like himself who have felt lost and confused in the hopes of guiding them in better directions.
