Draeko worked in a coal mine with many other miners, all friends it was a hard job but they didn't mind. But one day while they mined a team found a weird dragon mask buried in stone. They brought the mask up but the cave became unstable and started to collapse. Draeko ran upwards he saw many of his friends rush into a tunnel but it caved in from all the people rushing. Draeko was forced to take another path, he saw a dead canary which meant poisonous gas ahead. So he had to make a detour to try and escape. He bumped into an old miner with a broken leg, to which he helped. They met a crossroads of two paths one blocked the other clear, the old miner said the exit was to the blocked path and he had to clear it. By the time Draeko finished clearing the stone, the old man had succumbed to his injury, forcing Draeko to go forward alone. He came across a minecart track meaning he could ride one out. The ground shook causing rocks to fall blocking the path he came from, which made him opt out of taking a cart just in case. He made the right choice as halfway in the tunnel the cart bridge over a deep hole had been damaged. Down below he could see the bodies of fellow miners. After some careful maneuvers, he made it across the gap and ended up in a room filled with many walking corpses of his reanimated friends. A small beam of light shined down into the room, the stairs leading out destroyed with no way out. Draeko was trapped as his undead friends shambled towards him. This was the end of the line for him, he survived only to die down here. That was before a voice told him he had a chance to survive, the mask the group brought up earlier sat at the back of the room. Draeko ran through the undead to the mask, he was hit with pickaxes a few times before he collapsed in front of the mask, to injured to reach it. The mask said "Good job" before it crawled onto his head and everything stopped hurting.

Draeko is just like Daevi one of the many cursed masks in the land. Except in this case, Draeko doesn't need a new body as his can repair itself. The mask usually has a straight face but can smile at times. Smoke can exit out of the eye sockets and nose, and Draeko can ignite his trusty pickaxe with a spectral flame that burns the soul.
Lastly, Draeko can bring a target to the mine he tried to escape from and force them to do the same, only living and escaping if they make the choices he did.

The whole time Draeko is present this Song Plays as the spirits of his mining friends persists.
