No offence but your parents sounded terrible D: Why do Christians do that also, abuse other people for being wrong? I thought it was about showing compassion, not being abusive.

Its a result of habits being cyclically passed down through generations and environments - back then, in their country, they were not taught to think, just react quickly to survive and fear the other (as political bs was occurring there.)

Add to that the misguided approach to spirituality which many religions push on people, the dual thinking, ultimately disconnecting them from themselves automatically disconnecting them from any higher energy, and yeah they had a slim chance of having a different outcome.

Its breaking down now, more and more people calling out the lack of "do as you preach" as well as many edited texts being discovered revealing a more -common sense- understanding of the metaphors spoken then.
Good, bad, right, wrong----understand how its all created in the mind and ull easily set yourself free in your own karma while those needing strict creeds and rules are left to be manipulated by, initially well meaning, but misguided egos in charge of said rules and creeds. : )
