A striped hyena bard pic that some nice person suggested. I'm kind of embarresed that I've done a number of pics based on people's suggestions and then can't remember who suggested it! Arrgh, bad artist! At any rate, this is 11x14 acrylic on illustration board. Original for FC. Prints available.

Mm, while the upper and lower legs would each be short in comparison to a human's, the lower legs should still be in proportion to the thigh and foot. The lower legs on this fella are literally half the length of his thighs, where they should be far closer to equal -- for a striped hyaena, as with many vertebrates, a wee bit longer actually. By proportion the feet are quite long as well.

The proportional problem here is that his thighs are about the length of a human's, leaving his lower legs and feet to vie for the rest of the space. ~^;

Here's a great example of an almost white striped hyena. Ain't he purty!?
