So let's get the obvious out of the way, yes this was originally meant to be posted in November or Early December. However, circumstances came up for the artist and Scarlett is just now able to get to their backlog of Patreon rewards and get back to arting in general. I want to give a shoutout to Scarlett for just being an awesome person. I love Scarlett's art so much, it's why I support them and commission them when I can. They were one of the first to bring Jessie to life way back when he was Jessie Fox and like Scarlett's art, Jessie has evolved a lot since then. So, when Scarlett had to take some time away from artwork to deal with some personal issues, I was more than happy to wait and do my best to give them their space. Of course I chimed in now and then to see how things were going and show some love. I sometimes pretend to be a nurse and try to give my friend some TLC in hopes that just the attention and show of love and appreciation might help them get through their troubles. I am in no way qualified to be a nurse, and neither is Jessie of course, but something about being a nurse resonates with me and in turn with Jessie. Might have something to do with many women in my family become or aspiring to be nurses or medical professionals, thanks to my grandmother. But the idea of treating someone and helping them get better feels good to me. Though, I have to admit, Jessie's bedside manner would be much better than mine, being the sweetheart that he is. So for November, my birth month, and to finally put a visual to Jessie as a nurse, I requested that Scarlett draw this for my reward for the month. Now I can just post this for anyone who's not feeling well or they can come here and view it themselves in hopes it will perk them up.
My thanks and love to Scarlett for this wonderfully adorable pic and for being such a great partner in crime through their art and my storytelling and for being a friend. On a sidenote, Jessie's outfit here was inspired by Scarlett from Killer is Dead, but specifically from a cosplay of the character here:
