A playdate is no fun when you can't invite any of your friends over at your place. Especially during a massive lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Because of all this, everybody in Marshall's neighborhood are ordered to stay at home until the pandemic finally dies down.
While the adults, such as Marshall's parents are getting used to their stay at home activities, Marshall, who's just a 10 year old cub, doesn't understand why he can't see or play with his friends during the lockdown, even though his parents, Laura and Howard, told Marshall that the entire world is going through a deadly disease. And after hearing some local neighbors who are suffering from the Coronavirus, and being rushed to the hospital for treatment, Marshall sure doesn't want to get terribly sick by this disease. So as the days of the lockdown go by, Marshall spends most of his time in his crib all alone. Not even his favorite plushie, Rusty Raggs could cheer him up.
The only time that Marshall could ever make contact with his friends is by texting them on his phone. And Marshall found out that all of his friends are in the same predicament as he is. No one is allowed to leave their house or yard until the virus dies down. And all of Marshall's friends, from Davey, Amber, Loriel, Crunch, Digitz, and the rest are just as sad and lonely as Marshall is.
However, the lockdown is not all bad. Marshall's family did indeed stock up for this dreadful event so they have plently of food, water, toilet paper, and Marshall's diaper stash is all stocked up and extremely full for the next three months. And once in a while Marshall's family do have social activities such as board game night or movie night, that is if Howard's not too busy with his work. Since he's not allowed to go to his workplace, he does his computer programming at home. And Howard would be at the family's main computer for roughly 8 or 9 hours. But he gets to join in on the family's fun once his work is done. Especially on the weekends where Howard is free from his programming duties and gets to play with Marshall all day.
And once in a while, Marshall's two wonderful uncles, Gottlieb and Dukey, would visit the Foxstone home, provided if they're not seriously ill from the virus. And even though Marshall's happy seeing his family, he still misses his playdates with his friends. But Uncle Dukey would pick up and gently hug Marshall and told him that the virus would soon pass, though no one knows for sure when the virus will die down. And after Marshall get tucked down in his crib every night, he dreams that one day the Coronavirus will go away, and he and his friends will have their long awaited playdates soon.
And to all the FA cubs out there, remember, stay safe, stay at home, and wash your paws!
