Its usually how I feel, pretty much 90 percent of the time in between the laughter.
Hate to say it but I'm generally not a very happy person no matter how much I'm joking or smiling. It's usually about as hollow as a mask and easily taken away. Sadly it doesn't last long for me.

it comes with manic depression, it comes and goes hardcore. Not saying that's my excuse for being a depressed shit, but sometimes it just gets difficult not to let everything negative around you take a hold and start to eat away. I do my best to keep it at bay with laughter and keep it separate from everything else. I've already alienated enough people around me. When I try to be happy, I try to keep it happy, but in my own little dark depressions in these... I don't necessarily try to pretend anymore.
