But on a more serious note (or however serious this can be made), this is based on a very old joke between some friends of mine that I decided to revive in an epic fashion. About two years back, a friend of mine surprised me with this piece of art: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/26872786/
And thus the story of Gally being mech-suit piloted by a Ralts was born. And from there... it didn't really go anywhere. Although it was mentioned once in a piece of Silver Soul bonus artwork, which also introduced the Gallybot's apparent rival, which can be viewed here: https://e621.net/posts/1696922?q
And so, with nothing besides those two pics to go off of... I decided to have this made as a callback. Does it make any sense? No. Was it all worth it in the end? Absolutely.
A huge thanks again to the artist who made this possible! She is one of my favorite artists for how much love and detail she puts into her work, and just how good she is at communicating, giving updates, and making changes as needed. I will never stop vouching for people to check her out.
