Chapter 1

It was a bright and sunny day in Domino City, and Yugi and the gang were hanging out at Joey's apartment building. It has been a year since the events at Battle City, and Marik had been turned from bad to good. Bakura was playing Batman: Arkham Asylum with his friends, Tristan and Duke watching. Just as Bakura was about to finish off the Joker, the attack backfired, and the Joker defeated Batman. Then the TV screen changed to the Joker who said "That loser didn't stand a chance! I mean, look at me!" Bakura growled as he put the controller down, stomped on the floor with his foot very hard in a fit of rage, and said "Bugger, bugger, bugger!" "Ooh! You almost had him." Tristan said. "I'm never gonna defeat the Joker!" Bakura said. "Sure you will, Bakura." Duke said. "In fact, you're a better Batman then we are." "But look at the tiny buttons!" Bakura said. "I can't press the A button, and the X button at the same time!" Then they heard a noise coming from one of the drawers. They looked over to see Joey, looking for something. "Where is it? Where is it? Where is it?" Joey muttered.

"Uh...Joey?" Tristan asked. "Huh?" Joey asked as he looked up, but he bumped his head on th open drawer above him. He groaned in pain, and stomped on the floor with his foot. "Ooh!" Tristan, Duke, and Bakura said. "Hang on, Joey." Tristan said as he walked over to Joey, and rubbed his head to sooth the pain. "Joey, are you all right?" Rubbing his head, Joey said "Yeah, yeah, I'm fine, Tristan. Ok, since you agreed to house-sit for me, here's your list of chores for you to do while I'm gone. Windows need to be clean, DVDs at the bottom of the shelf need to be rotated, oh, and make sure all my mail is sorted correctly. Okay? Okay, good. Okay." "Joey, you haven't found your rose bracelet Marik gave to you for your three week anniversary of your first date, have you?" Tristan asked. "NO!" Joey yelled out in full-blown panic mode. "And I'm getting married in a couple of days. I can't find it anywhere!" "Don't worry, Joey." Tristan said patting the panicking bride-to-be's back. "In just fourty-eight hours, you and Marik will have the best time of your lives, and live happily ever after together." Joey sighed, and said "You think so?" "I know so." Tristan said. He looked at the rest of his friends, and said "Has anyone found Joey's bracelet, yet?" "No! I'm still searching." Yugi called out from the bottom of the kitchen sink. Mokuba popped out from bathroom, and said "It's not in the bathroom, but I'll keep looking." Serenity and Tea walked out of the game room, and Serenity said "It's not in the game room. We looked everywhere."

"I've found it." Bakura's boyfriend, Yami Bakura said walking out of the bedroom. "You found my bracelet?!" Joey asked. "Your bracelet? No!" Yami Bakura said. "Bakura lost his scarf I gave him for his birthday last year." He walked to Bakura, and as he wrapped the blue and white striped scarf around his neck, he said "Here you go." Bakura smiled, and said "Thanks for finding my scarf." As they kissed each other's lips, Joey groaned in dismay, and said "Oh, great. That's just great! This is gonna be the first time I miss my wedding day, all because of my stupid bracelet!" Serenity went up to her big brother, and said "Joey, looked at that picture on the shelf above the TV." "Serenity, don't even joke like that." Joey said. "My bracelet is not in that picture frame." Serenity sighed, and said "Would you just look?" Joey sighed, and took the picture down from the picture down from the shelf. It was a picture of him and Marik on their first date. They went to the Domino City Aquarium for their first date, and they took a great picture together. "You see, Serenity?" Joey asked. "No bracelet. Just a picture of me and Marik on our first date at the Domino City Aquarium." "Uh-huh." Serenity said. "And the one you love would marry you, with or without your bracelet." Joey sighed, and said "I'm sorry, little sis. It's just that I've been looking forward to this all year. It's my one chance to finally marry someone who'll love me for me, and not for power and world domination."

Serenity smiled. and hugged her big brother as she said "Aww, you're cute when you care." Joey blushed in embarassment and said "Serenity, not in front of our friends!" Serenity shurgged, and said "Aww, let them look." Joey just sighed, smiled, and hugged his little sister back. "Hey, Joey! I got good news for you!" Yami Yugi said as he walked out of the bedroom with his hands behind his back. "What is it?" Joey asked as Serenity stopped hugging her brother. Yami Yugi removed one of the hands to reveal a string of plastic red roses made into a bracelet, and said "I found your bracelet!" Joey grinned and said "My bracelet!" Yami Yugi gave the bracelet to Joey who put it on his wrist, and then began to hug his friend. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Joey said. "Where'd you find it?" "It was in your closet." Yami Yugi said. "Burried under your shirts." Joey smiled as he patted his friend's back, and said "I'm so glad I picked you to be Marik's best man for the wedding." "And I am honored to be apart of it." Yami Yugi said. Then the front door opened, and Marik who is the groom-to-be, and Joey's fiance stepped in, and said "I hope I'm not interrupting anything important." Yami Yugi looked over, smiled, and said "Marik! You made it." He went over to hug Joey's future husband, but Marik stepped back a little, and said "What are you doing?"

Yami Yugi frowned a little, and said "It's me! Yami Yugi! Your best man!" Marik just stared and said "Uh-huh." He looked over to see Joey, and smiled. "Hey, Marik!" Joey said. "Wonderful to see you, my love." Marik said as he walked over to his future wife. He then dipped Joey in a tango fashion, and they french kissed each other. After they broke the kiss, Joey's cell phone suddenly shook. He took the cell phone out of his pocket, and opened to see a text message from Mai Valentine that said "Joey, where are you?! You said you would go with me to pick out a wedding dress for your wedding day." Joey left her a text message that said "I'll be right there." Mai Valentine texted back that said "You better be." Joey closed the phone, and said "I gotta run. I promised Mai that I would go with her to David's Bridal to pick out my wedding dress." "Hey Joey, can I go with you?" Bakura asked. "I was gonna head to the mall to do some shopping anyway." "Sure!" Joey said. "Great!" Bakura said. He looked at Yami Bakura, and said "Hey, Yami Bakura, wanna take over playing Batman: Arkham Asylum for me?" Yami Bakura sighed as he sat on the couch, grabbed the controller and said "I suppose I might as well." Bakura smiled, and said "Hope you'll have better luck beating the Joker than I did." "I know I will." Yami Bakura said. "Hey, Tristan, wanna go with me?" Joey asked. "Sure." Tristan said as he walked up to Joey and Bakura. Joey smiled, and said "You know, I speak for me and Marik when I say: We couldn't be more excited to have you all being apart of this upcoming be day! Right, Marik?" Marik gave out a sly smile, and said "Oh, absolutely." "Well, we better get going. See you all later!" Joey said as he, Tristan, and Bakura left. As Marik sat down next to Yami Bakura who was busy playing the video game, Yami Yugi was left wondering "What just happened?"
