Chapter 2
At the Domino City Mall, Joey, Tristan, and Bakura went to David's Bridal nearby the food court, where Mai Valentine was waiting outside the store. "Well, it's about time!" Mai Valentine said while tapping her foot impatiently. "Where were you?!" "Sorry I'm late, Mai." Joey said. "I was looking for my bracelet." He showed his bracelet to Mai Valentine who said "Oh, that is pretty. Now let's go in." They walked inside, and approached the front desk. A young woman with red hair, green eyes, wearing a black jacket, white shirt, black pants, socks, and shoes named Heather looked at them, and said "Welcome to David's Bridal. I'm Heather. How may I help you today?" "Hello, Heather." Mai Valentine said. "We're here looking for a wedding dress." "Who's the lucky bride?" Heather asked. "That would be me." Joey said smiling. "Oh, how exciting!" Heather said. "If you'll follow me to the dressing room area, I'll take your mesasurements, and we'll go through each wedding dress until we find the right one." They followed Heather to the dressing room area, and Tristan, Mai, and Bakura sat on the pink couch as Joey stood on a small platform. "So, what do you think the wedding theme is going to be?" Tristan asked as Heather took out a measuring tape, and started to take Joey's measurements.
"I don't really know." Joey said. "And for the last time Tristan, no! We are not reenacting the wedding scene from 'The Muppets Take Manhatten'!" "Why not?!" Tristan asked. "One: Kaiba's in charge of planning the wedding, and two: he hates that movie." Joey said. Heather finished taking the measurements, and said "Wait right here, and I'll be the wedding dresses ready for you to try on." She then left the room. Five minutes later, she came back with some wedding dress, hanging on a clothing rack on wheels, and said "Here they are, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask." Joey nodded, and said "Thank you, Heather." As soon as Heather left the dressing room area, Joey took out a wedding dress, went into a dressing room, and changed into it. He came out, wearing the dress, and said "What do you think of this one?" The wedding dress was beautiful. The top part of the dress was covered in little white flowers, the sleeves were puffy, and transparent. The sleeves were also transparent, and the skirt was fluffy, and transparent. On the back was a pair of light blue, and white transparent wings. "Oh, that's a lovely dress." Mai Valentine said. "Yeah, but I'm not crazy about the wings though." Ryou Bakura said. "It looks like it'll fall off." "Your probably right." Joey said. "Let's try another one." He picked out another wedding dress, and went into the dressing room to change into it.
He came out wearing a white dress with white feathers all over the shoulders, the top, and the skirt. "Too many feathers." Tristan said. "Yeah." Joey said. "I look like a duck." He then picked out another dress, and went into the dressing room to change into it. He came out while blushing with embarrassment, and wearing the dress. The dress was pink with red roses and white pearls all over it. Tristan giggled, and said "This dress definately suits you." "I am NOT wearing this, Tristan!" Joey said. "I look ridiculous!" Mai Valentine, Tristan, and Bakura just laughed, and Joey said "It's not funny!" They finally stopped laughing, and continued to explore the wedding dress options. After a few more dresses, they finally found what they were looking for. Joey was wearing a very beautiful wedding dress. The shoulders were slightly puffy, and the sleeves stretched all the way to his wrists. The top part was covered in little white pearls, and little red roses. The skirt was made of white silk material, and it felt like it was floating. On the top of his head, he was wearing a white veil with the short part covering his face, and the long part going down the back and on the floor. "This is perfect!" Joey said smiling. "I agree." Tristan said. "It does suit you." Mai Valentine said. "It's lovely." Bakura said. Joey then went back into the dressing room, and changed back into his regular clothes. They went to the front desk, and Mai Valentine paid for the dress. They left and Joey said "I'm starving. Let's get something to eat." "Ok." Mai Valentine said. "Sure." Tristan said. "You guys go ahead." Bakura said. "I'll catch up, I gotta shop for something." "Ok." Mai Valentine, Joey, and Tristan said at the same time, and Bakura went into one of the stores to buy a wedding gift for Marik and Joey.
