I was making great headway on Fender's face, and then I ran out of brown. The last row exactly used up how much I had left. I've got more arriving at my dorm, but currently I'm away on break. So for now, he's paused at 21.7% finished.
I think it's going really well. I'm actually pretty happy with how the colors seem to blend. I did make his eyes blue, but other than that I plan on sticking to the original pattern to see how well this process works.
Anodized aluminum.

I didn't like it very much with silver irises. Mostly the resolution isn't that great. Other versions of Fender had blue eyes, and I just decided I liked that better.
And when I ran the image through Photoshop to get the pattern, it popped a red ring in the eye. Not sure why. If it ends up looking odd when the thing is finished, I'll fix it, but for now I kind of like the little glint in his eye.

The secret to do what I do for my free time is work like a dog starting at 11 years old, put your earnings into a investment package and when you can't work anymore take that package and reinvest it into resort properties, get a recliner or lounger setting it on the beach your resort is on and open a good bottle of tequila.... Oh yea and offering some to the occational pretty lady is a bonus....;)
