It is just from basic to start detailing. Just add very basic shades, don't be afraid to mix colors where they are not supposed to be. It is like being drawing with light.

This looks awesome. This also reminds me of that "Adventures of the Magic Kingdom" game on the NES as it has that same Mickey head on the grass. .
