Yes, she did... I am missing your point completely... Amber covered that in Dan's education at the Academy... and assorted other locations.

Hope... I'd never have guessed that, I guess so long without a clan of your own changes you.

Uhm...the history info suggests her clan was always like that. Fa'Lina actually appears to have gotten more bitter and unforgiving to abusers of her trust since the Dragon-Cubi war, not the inverse. Contrary to your hypothesis, going so long without a clan should make one insane and/or amoral, not hopeful. Living forever as the only member of your clan without any way to add more members kinda lends itself to the opposite of hope, don't you think? The remarkable thing here is that she has retained that outlook.

Guess I wasn't as perceptive in picking up that he had retained that hopefull outlook as you obviously are.

I note a distinct lack of mentioning Academy attendees as being a faux-clan and receiving some degree of clan power from her.

There probably is. But (legend has it) the person who discovered it was, upon revealing the secret, deemed dangerously insane and locked up for the rest of their natural life for the public's protection.

That certainly seems to explain her reaction to Pyroduck mentioning being involved with Alexsi. The thought of a grandchild, even one not related by blood, just fired off her hope for clan renewal like a match on a powder keg.

Legend has it that there were two way for her to rebuild her clan. However the first entails certain untenable sacrifices to be made which effectively render it useless to all but the most incoherently insane. For the second see my reply to  neonmag.

Personally, the last bastion of hope, the clan leader herself, still stands... so it's a rather positive outlook despite the desperate situation... it's when hope shines the brightest...

Of course she's hope! She's put more effort into helping people become their best selves than anyone in the comic! And she does it in such and indirect, almost underhanded way, that the people she influences grow and learn all by themselves.

I'm not sure she discovered it, per se... AFAIK the leaders are linked to their clan members, so she may quite possibly have felt them all die/be eaten, one by one. Which would be a truly horrible thing to go through.

you are right... if knowing someone "close" to you died wasn´t hard enough to make you feel like blank for some days, feeling the essence/soul/life of that someone fades away slowly from this world is truly tragic... I must say... she´s really strong to overcome all the pain of felling the loss of all her clan.

I really like this char of yours. Not just for the two obvious reasons. Does she ever had the tri wings in the comic? I don't remember seeing that until now.

Fa'Lina tends to keep her extra set of wings hidden when in public. This is partially cause she prefers not to make a show of her status but also because it means I save my poor lil art hand from having to keep drawing so many sets of wings. XD

Fa'lina's so adorable, but so sad seeing that she's a clan leader without a clan especially being linked to hope as she is. She so needs some hugs I think and someone (or more than one) she can be with without having to remain so aloof and distant.

Also, if you read the comic, she was basically backstabbed by a dragon that was a pre-war ally.

And thus any doubts of fa'lina being a villian wavered into nothing.
