It was 2 years ago today that my beloved brother Eli passed away from a heroin overdose. He was just 26 at the time. This photo is what my little sister (one of his best friends) shared in his memory today. We miss you so very much, Eli. Rest easy & stay strange.
If you’re hurting, please speak out. You shouldn’t turn to harmful things like heroin to get relief. There are people who love you. They want to help you. If you know someone who’s in pain, be a friend to them. Call them a couple times a week. Invite them to a get-together, or just write a letter. Humans are social animals, so we need to remember to look out for one another.
