Something I doodled after I told myself I was done doodling for the day: rat with a handgun.
If you had emailed her the password like she asked you to in her note, she could have done everything from home and none of this had to have happened.
But here we are.
For those of you interested in such things, the gun itself is kind of a piece of crap. As a particle emitter, it has enough stopping power, but it overheats very easily and reflected energy from nearby hits can burn the operator (hence the large trigger shield).
The pistol has an internal socket for small cells good for only three shots before they fizzle. The large battery slung under the grip and shield provides a stopgap solution, allowing up to thirty-five shots. It is easy-ish to replace but is heavy and badly unbalances the weapon.
If you fire it too rapidly, the battery heats up and discharges.
It has two firing modes: a focused particle stream designed to vapourize whatever it hits, and a diffuse impact "spray" that merely melts or sets on fire everything in front of it.
Cheap dot sight on the top rail.
Oh yeah, and good luck finding a holster.
There are loops for a strap and you can hook it onto a belt, though, and be ready for it to catch on goddamn everything if you try.
The good news is that it is sturdy and easy to keep clean.
Strictly better than having no sidearm at all.
If you are wondering what happened with her eye, she stumbled on the stairs and hit her brow on the corner of a desk.
It looks way worse than it is.
Anyway, thank you for reading all the way to the end.
I wrote all this after I decided I was done writing for the night, too. <_<;
