Y'know what... That actually wouldn't make a bad plot to an Ape Escape 4?

I mean... we've already done time travel, world traversal, tv, and a bunch of spinoffs... but combining Saru Saru Big Mission's "Save the other kidnapped human protagonists" plot with a "Specter used a de-evolution ray combined with his own hypnotic twist on the Pipo Helmet to take control of the populace" is actually a REALLY good next step :o
He kidnaps the other characters, instead of the freaky monkey 5 being the bosses that have them the Brainwashed protags ARE the de-volved bosses, Whoever is the first player is also Monkified which allows for new interesting ways to platform and combat/capture the Pipo Apes, you can steal a gadget back from each protag boss not counting whatever gadgets you get regardless, replace the morph gear with swapping out to the other protags for different skillsets... That ACTUALLY sounds like a fun game!

Heck, even if it didn't become an AE4 the same premise would still make a fun spiritual successor concept!

Oh yeah absolutely the player has to remain monkey for the game or you miss the new platforming opportunities from being a monkey!
