So it seems now we can have another look at Chrisann. Why? What prompted this personal artwork was... I'd discovered that out of all my works on Twitter, Chrisann had accumulated 30 Retweets and over a hundred Hearts, or whatever those are called... Likes, perhaps? Those numbers are a lot to me, even more so when all the other works don't even come close. This made me realize that this big ol' lizard may just have her own following on there. So I've made this to give her fans another point of view.
I may as well shed a little more light on her. Chrisann isn't your average Iguana. Besides being overgrown and carnivorous, there are a few details about her that aren't very Iguana in nature at all... in case you haven't noticed. Those fangs... that forked tongue... and that tribal sun pattern where her head meets her neck. This brings us to a more paranormal subject. Almost every culture ever to exist has told stories of a spiritual side. Apparitions, entities that walked the Earth resembling ''normal'' things... except still maintaining enough oddness to warrant more than a second look. A giant Cobra that can look you in the eye and blink, for example... or a fish that swims through the air like it would in water... a multi-headed serpent.
Chrisann's origins remain unknown. But that doesn't change the fact that she's a big, lovable lizard~ The title of this artwork refers to the Malay terminology for apparitions. Pronounced jel-ma'an.
