May Day in the Spontoon Independencies and the Rain Island Anarchcracy is an important holiday. Spontoonies celebrate with a parade featuring floats built by the various unions, Union Maid Beer is consumed in abundance, and there are fireworks and satirical hula competitions that night.

In the Rain Island town of High Risk Falls, the Banner of Flame will shine out again against the darkness.

Here's Halli Amura, a rabbit who was born in the Spontoons but has dual citizenship in Rain Island by virtue of her commission in the Naval Syndicate Air Arm, wrapped in the red flag (and not a stitch else).
