- Distant voices from the boys and Emily drifted through Micas ears, but she had only focused on one. The one speaking to the new contortionist with a kind voice, welcoming and offers of friendship. There was a tight feeling her chest as she stared from behind her tent, gripping the front of her chest so hard that her knuckles turned white. What in the hell WAS this?? The kindness is his voice was enough to make her chest light each time she heard it. It happened so often now... It was bullshit. She hated it. It made her uncomfortable.

But then why did she long for it?-

This takes place BEFORE the two nerds get together, so she's, like... 18 or so? And he's about 20
Anyway
Amazingly enough, Mica actually crushed pretty fucking hard on Boris as well in her late teens. Surprise!

She... didn't know. She was utterly clueless about what the feelings were, and it scared her. All she knew was that being around him specifically made her feel feelings that she wasn't quite fond of, and therefore she hid them in fear that something bad would happen considering... well, her past before she was found by the show. And thus, she decided that avoiding him was the best way to making it stop - obviously that didn't work out to well.


It's pretty hard to admit you like someone when you're quite literally afraid of love and affection, specifically the rejection of it when you've been rejected so violently before.


As we all know, he was the one with the crush on her first. He hid it just as much but not as well, and eventually it was pretty well known throughout the entire show that he liked her. But he was respectful about it and never brought it up, and was quick to try and shut people up if they talked about it around her(or just to save himself the embarrassment). It was the dare from Emily that lead to their first 'kiss' which kinda moved things forward, but of course Mica was and is still an emotionally constipated bitch who REFUSED to admit to anything until AFTER they got together. It did make him feel a bit better to find out though, since it just meant he wasn't alone in the crush. ouo

But her own crush was absolute hell to work through, and had it not been for the fact that she refused to let her pride be beaten by that dare, she may not have realized exactly what it was. (Thanks, Emily!)
