Summary: Shining Armor and Princess Cadence meet, fall in love, and get married along with their dalmatians named Dusk Shine and Twilight Sparkle. But when the two dogs have fifteen puppies, the evil fashion designer named Rarity captures them so that she could make coats out of them. Can the puppies be rescued on time?
Chapter 1
The story begins in Ponyville in a land called Equestria. Not so very long ago. Yet so much had happened since then, that it seemed like an eternity. At that time, a dalmatian with a patch of moderate sapphire blue hair with a moderate violet and a brilliant rose streak on it, and moderate violet eyes named Dusk Shine lived with his pet named Shining Armor in a bachelor flat just off Ponyville Park. It was a beautiful spring day, a tedious time of the year for bachelors. Shining Armor was busying on the piano while Dusk Shine was looking out the window with a bored look on his face. As far as he could see, that old notion that a bachelor's life was so glamourous and carefree was all nonsense. It was downright dull and boring. It was plan to see that his pet needed somepony. But, if it were left up to Shining Armor, they'd be bachelors forever. He was married to his work, writing songs. Songs about romance of all things, something he knew absolutely nothing about. Oh, he's intelligent enough, as ponies go. And I think you could say, Shining Armor is a rather handsome animal in his way.
Dusk Shine could see no reason why his pet didn't deserve an attractive make. At least he was determined to do his best as he looked at the mares on the magazine covers. Of course, dogs are a pretty poor judge of ony beauty. But he had a rough idea of what to look for. He looked out the window to see a unicorn with a moderate cobalt blue mane with brilliant cyan streaks, moderate cerise eyes, black and dark purple glasses, and a musical note for her cuite mark Vinyl Scratch walking with her a brown dog with a patch of dark gray with a lighter tint hair named Octavia Melody. Dusk Shine thought Vinyl Scratch was an unsusal breed, but he decided that they would not be suited for him and his pet. He then spotted an earth pony named Bon Bon walking with a small dog with a patch of pale, light grayish cyan hair with white streaks on it named Lyra Heartstrings. Dusk Shine thought they looked interesting, but he felt that they were a little too short coupled. He looked at another pony with a dog, and it surprised him. It was a unicorn pony named Fleur Dis Lee walking with a poodle with a patch of moderate megenta and dark heliotrope hair named Spoiled Rich. Dusk Shine was fascinated by the fancy breed, but shook his head when he thought they were too fancy.
Dusk Shine looked at elderly earth pony named Granny Smith walking with a dog with a patch of vivid orange hair with light brilliant amber streaks on it named Spitfire. He tlought Granny Smith was too old for his pet. He looked at a littly filly named Diamond Tiara walking with a little dog with a patch of two shades of light azureish gray named Silver Spoon. He thought that Diamond Tiara was too young for his pet. He sighed, and leaned against the window when he knew that it was a real problem. Then, he looked at a dalmatian with the same patch of hair color as him named Twilight Sparkle, and smiled when he found what he was looking for. He then looked at her owner who is an alicorn with a dark violet, moderate rose, and pale gold mane, dark purple eyes, and a crystal heart for her cutie mark named Princess Mi Amore Cadenza or just Princess Cadence, and felt that she would be perfect for his mate. It was almost too good to be true. Dusk Shine would not find another pair like Princess Cadence and Twilight Sparkle, not if he looked for a hundred years. He ran up the stairs, and watched them going to the park which was a perfect meeting place for two ponies, if he could only arrange it. But, Shining Armor never stopped working until after five o'clock. That would be too late, so he had to come up with a plan, and fast.
