Chapter 6

Later that night, Dusk Shine, Twilight Sparkle, Shining Armor, and Princess Cadence were taking their walk, and they were on their way to Ponyville Park. They walked past a carriage, and two ponies reading a newspaper. Little did they know, they were being watched by the two unicorn ponies sitting in the carriage named Flim and Flam. As Flim watched them go around the corner, he said "There they go, Flam, my brother, out for their evening constitutional." He looked at the mirror on the carriage to see them go as he said "Ahh, a lovely pair of turtledoves. Around the jolly corner, and off to the park." "Yeah, I don't like it, Flim." Flam said. "One more pinch, and they'll throw the keys away." "Come off it, Flam." Flim said. "We're getting plenty of boodle." "Yes, but...I've been thinking." Flam said. "You've been thinking?!" Flim asked is dismay. "Now look here, Flam, I warned you about thinking! I've got the knob for this job, so let's get on with it!" He then started up the carriage, and he drove up to the house. As they stepped out of the carriage, Flim said "Ah, nopony home but the little ol' cook." He looked at Flam as he said "You just leave her to me. I can handle her real diplomatic-like."

"Yeah, but I still don't like it." Flam said as he took out the bag he brought with them. In the kitchen inside the house, Fluttershy was putting the sleeping puppies to bed as she said "Here, here." She placed Rainbow Blitz in the bed, and as he snuggled in, she said "Now, Rainbow Blitz, you settle down. Oh dear. Go to sleep now. Close your little eyes." Rainbow Blitz then closed his eyes, and fell right to sleep as Fluttershy gently pushed the bed towards underneath the sink, closed the curtains, and said "That's a good little one." Suddenly, she heard the doorbell ring, and as she approached the door, she said "Now, who do you suppose?" She opened the door to see Flim and Flam standing there as Flim said "Good evening, ma'am. We're here to inspect the wiring and the switches." As Flam held up his bag, and pointed at the label on it, he said "We're from the gas company." Flim bumped his brother as he said "Electric, electric." "Electric company." Flam said as he corrected himself. "Oh, but we didn't call for any inspection." Fluttershy said.

"Ah, yes, ma'am, I know." Flim said. "You see, there's a new act just been passed in parliament. Comes under the heading of defence of the realm act. It's under 104, section 29, very important." As Flam nodded, Flim said "It's the law, and it's for your own safety, ma'am." "Well, I don't care what parliament realm or whatever it says." Fluttershy said firmly. "You're not coming in here with the mister and missus gone." She tried to close the door, but Flim stopped her as he said "Now, now. Come off it, ducky. We got no time to palaver." As they pushed against the door, Flim said "We've got a job to do. Excuse me!" With one big push, Flim pushed the door open, knocking Fluttershy to the wall. They went inside as she recovered, and grabbed Flam by the tail. As she tried to pull him back, she said "What's the matter with you two?! You got cloth ears?! I said you're not coming in here." She then grabbed Flim's tail, and tried to pull them back, but she slipped, and fell. Flim laughed as she said "She's a regular little tartar, ain't she, Flam?" He laughed as he yanked her mane, and she yelped in pain. As Flim went up the stairs to the attic room, Fluttershy chased after him, and said "Don't you dare go up there, you big, long-legged lummox! Now, I mean it! If you don't get out of this house. I'll call the pony police, I will!"

Fluttershy ran into the attic room as Flim stepped from behind the door. Fluttershy then looked at Flim as she said "Now, be off with you, you-you big weasel!" Pretending to be offended by what she said to him, Flim said "Now, you've gone and done it. You've cut me to the quick, mare. Why, I wouldn't stay here if you asked me to." In anger, Fluttershy threw a tea pot at Flim who used the door as a shield as he said "Not even for a cup of tea." As he trapped Fluttershy in the room, he looked down, and said "Hey, Flam, my brother, I've got a sneaky suspicion we're not welcome here!" As Flam ran out of the kitchen with a full bag in tow, Flim said "Pack up, we're leaving! Sharp's the word, and quick's the action." As Fluttershy struggled to get the door open, she said "Let me out! Help! I'll call the pony police! Help!" Flam let the door go, and Fluttershy screamed as she crashed into a pile of stuff. As Flam went out of the house with Flam, he said "Good night, ducky! Ta-ta!" As Fluttershy recovered, she looked out the window to see Flim and Flam getting into the carriage, and leaving, and said "Why, those good-for-nothing, hoodlums! Electric company. Hmph! They're nothing but common sneak thieves!" She ran down the stairs, and went into the kitchen as she said "I'll bet they made off with the good silver. Why, I bet they took every last-!" But, when she saw the empty bed, and torn curtain, she gasped in horror, and said "The puppies! THE PUPPIES! They're gone! Rainbow Blitz?! Big Mac?! Bubble Berry?!" She started to cry as she ran out of the house and into the street, and said "They took the puppies! Oh, whatever will I do?! Those scoundrels! They stole the puppies!" As she started crying for help, she said "Pony police! Help! The puppies! Pony police! Somepony, help me! Help! Help! Help!"
