Harumi had told Kajinosuke she had no romantic feelings for his son, so he invited her over to talk it out in an attempt to rub her the other way.
"Ms. Yokozawa, I want to apologize. I'm just so happy for your relationship that I didn't realize you were in a bad mood."
"That's not it." refuted Harumi, "I just don't have any feelings for your son, Mr. Marui, I told you." Kajinosuke tried getting her to change her mind, but it was no good. "I don't wanna say it again! There's NOTHING between us!"
Kajinosuke explained, "You think I'm gonna buy that BS? Don't forget who brought you that instant tempura when you were sick."
"I just grow tired of this! Why must I be stuck up with you? Just because of a gift your spoiled kid gave me? I-" Harumi stopped as she realized Tomonori was standing right there, completely destroyed.
"I-I'm sorry, Harumi... I guess the red thread that united our love broke off..." said Tomonori as he slowly descended into tears... "Tomonori? I-I mean-" Tomonori interrupted, "Goodbye, Harumi Yokozawa!" and ran to his room, heartbroken. Harumi then ran away.
"Tomonori... I'm sorry..."
