If there was one thing Rouge the bat had going for her, it was her ability to use her seductive charms to her advantage during an interrogation, a personal heist, or whatever goal she set her mind to. It was part of what made her so effective, and she greatly enjoyed having that effect on her unlucky (or lucky, depending on point of view) victims. But with the sudden surges of growth by Amy, Cream, and now Blaze and perhaps more to come, it stood to reason that in due to her dwindling comparative status to them, she would lose her ability to get what she wanted. That just wouldn't do. Without her sexiness, for lack of a better term, stealing jewels and gathering information would be much harder. Oh sure, she could accomplish it, that wasn't her concern in the least. But who had the time to work so hard? She definitely didn't. So, she would need a way to even the odds, and that's exactly what brought her to the city late that very evening.
It was exactly as Amy and Cream said while she spied on their discussion. At night, for no apparent reason other than magic, Rouge guessed, there appeared a rundown wooden shack in the city. There was nothing special about it aside from the shining gemstone at the front of the shack. Rouge briefly noted in her mind that it might be worth it to try and snag it for herself as she got what she really came for. From what Rouge could tell, the ice cream vendor was giving away the ice cream practically for free, or at least at minimum cost. With her vast stash of gems, it would be easy to get the vendor to give up everything they had. But doing so would alert Amy and Cream to her actions, and the last thing she wanted was for this to become some form of growth competition. As much as she was sure she'd win such a challenge, she didn't want to risk it. She needed to be the undisputed champion, with no one else coming close. So as soon as night fell, she watched and waited to see if anyone else would come to visit the stand.
No one did, and that was when Rouge decided to make her move. Swooping down to the broken down roof without a sound, Rouge silently started her assessment of the situation. The ice cream vendor seemed entirely unaware that her privacy was being encroached on, as she moved on from one end of the cramped space to the other, lights dancing on her fingertips. Magic, no doubt, Rouge easily concluded. The target of this mystical empowerment seemed to be multicolored ice cream bars, which Rouge couldn't recall Amy or Cream ever mentioning. Was this perhaps a new product that she was getting ready to release? If it was, Rouge was ready to be her test subject.
"Just one last thing to test out. Hopefully they all come back tomorrow and try these new ice pops. If it works the way I intended, this'll be their biggest growth spurt yet! And I'll ace this final project for sure!"
Rouge smirked and slipped silently through the cracks in the roof, remaining out of the vendor's line of sight and in the shadows where she could remain hidden. Reaching into her - admittedly - already considerable cleavage, the bat girl pulled out a blowgun and shot a dart into the back of the ice cream vendor's neck. Moments later, the vendor fell to the ground, out cold and without a clue as to what happened. "Perfect." Rouge picked up the vendor and placed her in the corner of the small shack, eager to get started on her ice cream binge. "Time to start gaining weight in all the right places!" Rouge rubbed her hands together and reached into the mini-freezer that held the popsicles, grabbing a purple one and turning it in her hand as she looked at it. "Looks so unassuming. To think this stuff has the power it has, you'd never know it."
Rouge then reached for a chocolate ice cream cone with her other hand. "Pretty sure this is what Blaze had to give her an overall boost." She fumed for a moment as she relived the scene in her head. Blaze had no business being bigger than her. NONE of them did! "Well the tables are about to turn. Time to restore the natural balance, so to speak." Without hesitation, Rouge chomped down on the purple popsicle and allowed the flavor to coat her tongue before swallowing it. "Ahh! Now...the fun begins!"
Yeah it's been a while, but my new job takes up a lot of my time. Not to mention other things. But at any rate, here's part 3 of the ice cream saga. It looks like Rouge has gotten her hands on the ice cream...and you all know what that means. Stay tuned to find out what happens next!
