A continuation of [Roian Philosophy] Hakulas and Ind. Med. Causation (which in turn is a continuation of [Roian Philosophy] Andreas and Personal Dynamis and [Roian Philosophy] Phelipas and the Outside Nyuh)
The Aquatics on Roia are a unique brand because of the way they had lived their early lives. Living underwater, they have been completely exposed to their element. Even after leaving the ocean, they continue to have this connection with water.
Sensing and controlling your element via dynamis is like identifying and wielding a hammer.
Aalona's thesis isn't a theory per se, but it's a description of what it takes to do dynamis as well as showing what the previous theories assumed wrong -- namely that there is an outside and inside which had to be bridged by another substance. (The long winding text is to show Hakula's influence on Aalona.)
Decided to split it into two parts because I realized how dense this idea is. In the next part, I'll show how the idea of interconnection solve some problems ignored by the previous theories as well as reasons why some might not find Aalona's dissertation convincing.
Keywords:
Oligo: The name of a sentient person on Roia, akin to "human".
Dynamis: Ability for certain oligo to manipulate elements and matter, such as fire, water, air and dirt.
Nyuh: (Unofficial name, formerly known as ika) A kind of spiritual energy associated with dynamis
Seal: A marking on a person, made from fungi, which boosts their dynamis ability
