Originally posted to my old account in June of 2018, I'd been ITCHING to draw Nova with Zero pretty much since the day I first created her, so when I sat down to write her backstory (which you can read here) I knew it was the perfect opportunity to do just that!!! I absolutely LOVE how they look together! The Maverick they're hunting just doesn't stand a chance!

Haha, well it should! Nova's timeline is supposed to be towards the end of the Maverick wars, just before Zero seals himself away. Zero's armor obviously changes before that happens, so I figure there's a transitional point during which reploids would be starting to use the new armor styles. Zero here is still in his old armor, but Nova's is more in the new. So yeah, her armor should look like it fits into the Mega Man Zero universe because that's essentially right around the corner, LOL! One of these days I'll draw Nova with Zero in his Mega Man Zero armor too!
If we consider Command Mission canon, then Nova's story would have to begin before Command Mission. Signas didn't have a part in Command Mission for whatever reason, so unless it was simply a side story that neglected to mention him, Nova's story begins before Command Mission because he's still in charge. I might have to design a hyper mode for her sometime!
