Lynneth gave a genuine smile to Collie, as the dark and creepy aura she was giving off quickly disappeared. During this time, Collie's eyes were focused on the long duffel bag Lynneth placed on the ground near the wall, wondering what exactly was inside it.
Collie: Lynneth. I have to ask. What exactly is inside that bag?
Lynneth didn't know exactly what Collie was talking about, until she quickly remembered the bag she had brought with her.
Lynneth: Oh that. There's nothing inside there really, just something I use to help calm down patients.
Collie felt puzzled by her answer, but decided not to push forward into the matter. After all, she had a lot of patients waiting to see her today, and having Lynneth with her was going to make the workload a lot easier. Not wanting to press the question further, Collie got up from her chair, and gathered several sheets of paper and attached them to a clipboard. From there, Collie gave Lynneth the clipboard of papers. She went on to tell her how the list was organized and who would be going first, and warned Lynneth ahead of time that some of the patients may need her assistance to make it her office. With this, Lynneth confirmed to Collie that she understood completely.
Collie: Excellent. The waiting room will be to your left the moment you leave my office. You'll see a door with a window if you do. You can't miss it.
Lynneth made her way out of the office, and casually opened the door to the waiting room. When she did, she called out the name to the first patient on the list. It was a pretty basic routine for most of the day, see the patient get up from their seat, follow her to Collie's office, and get some medical supplies from the cabinet at the back of the room. The day was coming to the end for both Lynneth and Collie, with only 1 patient left to call in and do a routine checkup. When Collie asked Lynneth for the name of the last patient, she stood frozen the moment Lynneth told her the name, as she felt uneasiness all over her. Noticing this, Lynneth asked her what was wrong.
Collie: Unfortunately. This patient has always been aggressive whenever I see them or any doctor in particular. They truly believe we're just making people more ill and they do not hesitate to become violent to anyone they encounter when they're being examined.
Lynneth: In that case, I will just approach him with caution.
Collie: Just don't let your guard down, Lynneth. Promise me that.
Lynneth looked back to Collie, and nodded her head up and down, letting her know she fully understood the situation. As Lynneth walked out of Collie's office and to the waiting room, she took in a deep breath, and readied herself. She quickly opened the door, and called out the last patient. But as she did, she was answered with a reply of aggression a scruffy old Wolfman. The old Wolfman got up from his seat, picked up his cane and began to approach Lynneth. The old Wolfman had small glasses on, and was hunch over the moment he started to move with his cane. To Lynneth, this was definitely the patient Collie described her to be.
Lynneth: If you don't mind following me, I will take you to Dr. Barkington.
Old Wolfman: I know the drill dag nabbit! I had all of the previous nurses say the same thing! And I had them all chased out of here as well!
Lynneth couldn't believe what she was hearing from their mouth. But it did explain why Collie was having problems getting an assistant.
'That explains what Collie meant by the third nurse this month. This is the guy who made them all quit'
After walking a few feet, Lynneth and the old Wolfman walked into Collie's office. When Collie gave her greetings to her patient, she was not surprised by the reply she was given.
Old Wolfman: Yeah yeah hello to you too Doctor!
Collie could only sigh, knowing this wasn't going to be end well.
Collie: Gerry, would you mind having a seat up here?
Collie pointed at the examination table, as Gerry only huffed but got up on the step ladder and sat on the table.
Gerry: I don't know why I have to keep coming back here!
Collie: Mr. Hillier. Your cholesterol and salt content in your body are at very high levels. And for someone at your age, you have to be more careful with what you eat. Have you been listening and cutting back on the salt?
Gerry: Ha! As if I need to cut back on anything! I am still alive and kicking! Even your previous nurses couldn't stop me the previous times from storming out of here!
Collie: Yes. So I have heard and seen from the surveillance cameras when those incidents happened. Which is why I can tell you this beforehand. I am going to take a blood sample from you, and while I am gone, Lynneth here will be watching you.
Gerry could do nothing but give out a smirk to Collie. This was the same thing she had told him the previous times, and all those times he was able to torment the previous nurses into breaking down in tears, or whack them with his cane. One of them tried to press charges against the elderly Wolfman, but police dismissed it as him becoming senile with his age. For him, this time was not going to be any different.
Collie: However, if she feels that if you are about to run away, harass, or about to be assaulted by you, she has full legal right to restrain you and if necessary, gag your mouth. Do I make myself clear Mr. Hillier?
Hearing Collie's additional response immediately wiped away Gerry's smile. Collie approached Gerry with a needle, and drew out some blood from his right arm. After the needle was taken out, Lynneth came and placed a bandage with a cotton ball over the area that the needle went in.
Collie: I'll be back in 10 minutes. And remember Mr. Hillier. Behave yourself.
Collie took the blood sample, closed the door behind her and left the room, leaving Lynneth and Gerry alone. Lynneth kept her eye on Gerry, waiting for the moment he would try something. The room was dead silent, with the tension inside growing thicker by the minute. After 5 minutes, Lynneth began to yawn, where Gerry took that moment to immediately jump out from where he was sitting, and dash for the door. However, about halfway between his spot and the office door, Lynneth took hold of Gerry's left arm, and used the momentum of her body to pull him back and make him sit back down.
Gerry: How did you-
Before he could shout out his question, he could only see Lynneth immediately strap his wrists to the examination table, making sure he wouldn't get up and make a run for it. Even though his arms were now strapped, that didn't make him stop from struggling to free himself, as he was now beginning to kick his legs up and down. To Gerry's surprise, His legs went up, but didn't go back down, no matter how much he tried to. Only when he couldn't bring his legs down, he could only watch as Lynneth had somehow caught both of his legs, and was in the process of taping both of them together.
Gerry: You can't do this to me! This is elder-
Gerry could no longer utter another word from his mouth, since it was now gagged and covered a clean rag.
Lynneth: Given your history with how you treated everyone else, I am pretty sure they would easily bat an eye away from the crap you have put everyone through.
Gerry continued to struggle against his restraints, trying to mutter out words but are completely muffled by the gag in his mouth. Lynneth walked away from Gerry, trying to clear her head.
Lynneth: Honestly. Why do I always have to deal with people who are absolutely arrogant to what is right in front of them, or the situation.
'There is one solution my dear. Kill him'
Lynneth began to hesitate again. Why oh why did the voice have to come back at this moment.
Lynneth: Stop. You know that won't solve anything. You cannot teach a lesson to a dead person.
'Sure you can. The moment they die, they learn not to mess with you and that you were right in the very end. Now quit stalling! You have that bazooka in your large bag! Use it!'
Lynneth: No!
Gerry could do nothing but watch what was unfolding in front of him. A nurse who is talking to herself and acting strange.
Gerry: 'Jesus. Just what the hell is wrong this lady? She some kind of whack job?'
After 5 more minutes, Collie entered inside her office once more.
Collie: Okay, Mr. Hillier. I have the results of your blood test.
Before Collie could speak further, she looked in front and saw Gerry was restrained and gagged, while Lynneth was at the other side of the room. Collie could only sigh, knowing she was going to walk in and see Gerry strapped to the examination table.
Collie: Mr. Hillier. Honestly. If only you listened, this wouldn't have happened.
Collie looked back to her clipboard, and told Gerry the results. At this time, Lynneth was beginning to undo the restraints and the gag she had placed on him.
Collie: Mr. Hillier, seeing your blood work, you have completely ignored my orders and advice regarding your salt and blood sugar intake. You must follow the strict dietary chart I will be providing for you, if you want to improve on your health, and to not see me so often. I'm sorry to say, but if you don't change your ways soon, you may be seeking immediate medical attention, or worse.
The moment the restraints were released from Gerry's wrists, he immediately got out of his seat, and started to brandish his cane like a weapon. Lynneth immediately went to Collie's side to try and protect her.
Gerry: Nobody's gonna tell me what I can and cannot eat! No way in hell am I gonna sacrifice my love for meat and booze! And if you're gonna get in the way if that, I'll teach you a thing or two with messing with me!
Collie: Mr. Hillier I will ask you right now to put down your cane or else I will have to resort to calling security!
Even with the warning given out to Gerry, it fell on deaf ears, as he continued to swing his cane around up in the air. But before Collie could continue, Gerry stepped forward, and took aim at Collie.
Lynneth: Dr. Barkington!
The next thing Collie knew, she was being pushed to the side by Lynneth, as Gerry's cane struck Lynneth at the right side of her head. Collie may have been pushed to her side, but she was still on her feet. However, Lynneth fell to her knees, with her head lowered to the ground.
Gerry: Hah! So you want the first lickings huh! Well then, have another then!
When Gerry was about to bring his cane down on Lynneth again, her right arm immediately caught the cane, as she slowly brought her head up. The expression that she gave off was one that Gerry had not seen from the previous Nurses from before. Instead of being scared or crying, Lynneth had a large grin on her face, with the pupil on her eye shrinking dramatically.
Lynneth: Thanks for the hit you old bastard. It's because of that, I decided to take "her" advice!
Lynneth quickly got up, and shoved Gerry back, making him stumble.
Lynneth: So you won't listen to reason huh. Well then...
Lynneth walked up to her large duffel bag, and began to unzip it. When it was fully unzipped, she took out what she had said she uses to calm patients down. In her hands, Lynneth was carrying a gigantic syringe. But it wasn't an actual giant Syringe. It was an RPG-7, decorated to look like a syringe, and was already loaded with an RPG at the end of it.
Lynneth: I guess I will have to make you see reason!
The situation was escalating out of control right in front of Collie. Never in her wildest dreams did she think her new assistant nurse would be carrying an RPG, let alone bring it and brandish it inside of a hospital of all places.
Collie: Okay you two. Let's calm down and talk about this!
Gerry: Just because you have that pesky toy aimed at me is going to make me change?! Don't make me laugh! That's probably not even real! I bet you don't have the guts to fire that thing at an old man like me!
This made Lynneth that much more determined to see her threat through.
Lynneth: Oh yeah! Then tell me if this is an empty threat!
Collie had lost all control of the situation.
'Good Lord this woman is crazy!'
Not hesitating at the RPG pointed right in front of him, Gerry charged towards Lynneth, where at that moment, she pulled the trigger.
Meanwhile, back at the waiting room a few rooms down the hall.
The waiting room was empty, with the only one present being the receptionist, who was secretly looking at her email instead of filing paperwork. But just as she was scrolling down her monitor, the entire room shook for a brief moment and quickly stopped. The receptionist looked above her, and then around her.
Receptionist: What was that?

Well,... that certainly is one way to deal with a problematic patient,... and Gerry certainly seems problematic, to say the least. Great story there, and lovely image, that crazed look in Lynneth's eye is just brilliant, and the worried look on Collie is a good compliment to it,... this certainly seems like an explosive situation. ;)
In regards to the stress doctors and nurses go through, I think this is something they wish they would have to make a disgruntled patient keep quiet and actually stay put. But then you have those who stay defiant. Got no choice in the end =P . Though, not sure what the end result would be after the rumbling ':)
