Meet my girl Lagertha!
She's a warrior snapping turtle, who represents resilience and strength in the face of a serious chronic illness.
Lagertha features the 4 incision scars I personally have from my previous laparoscopic surgeries, the internal burn scars down her legs from the use of heat packs, the black circles under her eyes from painsomnia, as well as bruising and redness on her tummy to show what goes on inside the pelvic region, and how it feels to live with this disease. Yellow is also the representative colour of Endometriosis.
She's not pretty, but she's very strong! Hoo-Rah!
I commissioned the linework from Moss Possum on Telegram, and designed her myself.
