Nostalgia and appeal for older times will always be a thing. To the surface level mostly. I doubt anyone sane would actually want to go back to the 1920s.
It's a very niche fashion style, now in the late 21st century, but it's still there, and it shows off. When aliens from outer space adopt your style, you know you made an impact.
