It's like trying to insert really embarrassingly awkward and unfunny Family Guy-isms into Fraggle Rock or Secret of NIMH. It doesn't even register as comedy so much as just something that comes off as unwelcomingly unfunny, and not even in the "so un-funny it's funny" way. It's just unpleasant and somewhat creepy.
