I'd decided to render one more topical drawing of the characters from one of the first made-for-TV cartoon shows, "Crusader Rabbit".
One of the lesser-known semi-regular characters in the series is 'Garfield Groundhog' - a resident of Galahad Glen, who is (stereotypically) the town's weather forecaster every February 2nd. But this year (2010), a series of 'cold spells' had gripped most of the USA; and, sadly, 'Garfield' isn't immune from the wrath of said 'cold spells', as he ends up encased in a giant ice cube!
If 'Crusader' didn't know any better, he'd swear that this is the work of their old archenemy 'Dudley Nightshade'. But, believe it or not, it really was 'Mother Nature' who was the perpetrator behind this wild, wicked winter weather - including no less than four 'cold snaps' in the south Florida area (where I live)! Hence this gag - which, by now, is a tad outdated (since it's already Spring), but I wanted to do it anyway!
