Some dreams just aren't worth pursuing...

One scary experience I had in my career was when Sparky and I foolishly volunteered to lead a squadron of newly refurbished bombers from Fort Pawderdale to their new home at an aircraft museum in San Fleacisco. Had I known it would have meant experiencing one of the worst storms of my life, I never would've agreed to do this, but I was just a newly-promoted sergeant who didn't know better.
To be honest, I once had dreams of being a fighter pilot when I was a puppy, but now... Oh, woof. With that much rain, fierce winds and lightning, there were times I thought for sure we were going to crash.
Thankfully, we arrived without much incident and the curator was none the wiser. But since then, Sparky and I agreed on one thing: We'd stay away from the Air Force and keep our paws firmly on the ground. I don't regret giving up my dream of flying. I just couldn't bare the thought of my little pup losing his dad in a fiery plane crash.”
