KHUX: Afterstory (Interlude Chapter Pt. 1)
Deep inside of an Underground Facility, gunfire could be heard down one of the hallways. The guards who were dressed in Military gear and wielded military weapons, were having a shootout against two intruders, who had taken cover behind the corner of a wall.
The two intruders were a man and a woman. The woman was a gun for hire only for this specific situation, who went by the name of Coco Gun-Bun. She only agreed to take the mission in exchange for information regarding the current situation that was occurring where she lived. While the man who was with her, who was known as Shane Rhimmers, was following out his Mission given by his Superior, who was told to take Coco with him with no objections. They were tasked to break into Research Facility, that was acting as an abandoned Medical warehouse gone defunct. However, it was still operational underground. When they both broke into the Underground Facility, the mission given to them was straight-forward. Break into the Facility, release any prisoners who were being held captive for experimentation, retrieve all of the documentation within the computer mainframe of the Facility, and then destroy it. When both of them succeeding in all four objectives, they were ready to make their escape. However, the explosion from the Mainframe being destroyed caused one of the guards that was patrolling the area to be alerted, and in turn alerted everyone else.
For both Coco and Shane, they were in a standstill, as the soldiers who were guarding the facility had them in a corner, relentlessly firing at the both of them.
Coco: Shane! distract them for me while I reload! I have an idea!
Shane: Okay!
Coco reloaded her guns, but reloaded them with a special clip she kept on hand to subdue bad guys, while Shane fired his K7 Avenger Assault Rifle against the Soldiers. When Coco was ready, she went out into the open, and fired her guns at the Soldiers. However, when Coco fired at the Soldiers, her guns fired pink small blotches of coop, that had caught on the armour of the Soldiers, which resulted in them being stuck together, stuck to the ground, and completely immobile.
Shane: Thanks for the save. Now to finish these bastards.
Shane readied his assault rifle at the immobilized Soldiers, but Coco got in front of him, blocking his way.
Shane: What are you doing, Coco?
Coco: I will not let you kill anyone! Not while I am around!
Seeing that she wasn't going to move, Shane did nothing but sigh, lowering his rifle.
Shane: Just be glad you have me to work alongside with and not my original partner in these Missions. He shows literally no Mercy. To anyone.
Coco: I guess I should count my blessings. But enough talk. Let's go before more show up!
Shane and Coco made their way out of the Facility. When they did, they made a run for it, running as fast and as far as they could. After 5 minutes of fleeing from the Facility, both of them stopped, hiding behind a group of large rocks that were a couple of miles away from the Facility. When the adrenaline started to fade for the both of them, Shane and Coco leaned against the rocks, trying to catch their breaths.
Shane: I got the USB with all of their data. Mission accomplished.
Coco: Great to hear. Now then. Can you give me the information I was promised.
Shane nodded in agreement, as he reached into his trench coat, and took out a folder containing several documents.
Shane: If you want to know what those creatures are roaming around your World, that folder contains everything you need to know. And with that, our partnership ends here.
Coco: Likewise. But I get the feeling we will meet again.
Shane: If it's meant to be.
Shane raised his left arm out, and from out of nowhere, a Dark portal appeared. Seeing the portal, Coco walked into it, with documents at hand. As Coco walked through the portal, it closed behind her. With everything being done, Shane knew it was time to go home. He raised his left arm out once more, and created a Dark portal for himself. But as he was making his way into it, a blue cat that had escaped the Facility ran towards Shane, and jumped into the Dark portal with him.
Shane made it out of the Dark portal, but as he did, he spotted a blue cat come out with him. Before he could do anything, the blue cat ran off. Not seeing the cat as any threat or danger, Shane made his way back home, where he was told to meet everyone.
For those wondering about the Blue Cat, that was 8Bit.

Wow, haven't seen Coco in action in a long time, and a very actiony picture and story indeed. Such an incredibly tense picture, between Shane's expression and the laser fire that fills the hallway, this is just great, and Coco looks marvelous as always, good to see her again. :) Really curious what those documents she was after might be though, but I suppose we'll find out sooner or later. ;)
I am really happy how this turned out :) . But you are right about not seeing Coco in a long time. The reason being not many people know about Coco anymore which is pretty discouraging to hear :( . But I am not sure what you mean by laser fire. As for what those documents contain, you might have a good idea what it does contain.
